Mable has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Mississippi Valley State University and a Master's of Science Degree in Education from the University of Georgia. After teaching in the Clarke County School District for over 30 years she retired and pursued her other dream job as a full time Realtor. Teaching science was her first love and as a science teacher Mrs. Mitchell won many awards; including Teacher of The Year for her school, SECME Teacher of the year for the Clarke County District and many other awards. She was sometimes referred to as "The Rock Lady."
Mable's real estate career has expanded over 30 years. During that time she has both sold and listed property in the Athens and surrounding areas. As a result of her hard work and determination she has been recognized as a Member of the Leading Edge Society of Prudential Real Estate, The Honor Society of Prudential Real Estate,The Million Dollar Club and in 2006 she was awarded the Most Creative Sale of the Year Award by the Athens Area Association of Realtors.
In addition to her work Mable is very active in the Athens Community. She is a member of the historic Hill First Baptist Church where she serves as Church Treasurer, Trustee and Past President of the Senior Usher Board. She is Past President of the Bon,Bon Social and Civic Club, Past President of the Athens Area Association of Retired Educators , member of the Council On Aging and a member of Beyond Basketball a support group for the University of Georgia Woman's Basketball program.
